AIRON – Terms & Conditions

By accepting a quotation or proceeding with works, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Work
These Terms & Conditions apply to the installation, service, and supply of:

Split System Air Conditioners
-
Ducted Systems
-
Package Units
-
Room Air Conditioners (RAC)
-
Under-Ceiling Systems
2. Quotations & Pricing
-
All quotations issued by AIRON are an invitation to treat and do not constitute a binding offer
-
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
-
AIRON reserves the right to withdraw or amend any quotation prior to acceptance
Pricing is based on:
-
Site inspections (if conducted)
-
Plans, drawings, and specifications provided by the client
If site conditions or scope changes, AIRON reserves the right to adjust pricing accordingly
All prices are inclusive of GST, unless otherwise stated
3. Variations & Changes
-
Any changes requested after acceptance of the quote will be treated as a variation
-
Variations may include (but are not limited to): relocation of units, additional ductwork, electrical upgrades, access changes
-
Variations will be charged in addition to the original quotation
-
All variations are payable in full upon completion
4. Deposits & Equipment Orders
-
A deposit is required prior to ordering equipment and materials
-
Deposits are non-refundable once equipment has been ordered
-
Refunds may only be issued where suppliers accept returns
-
Supplier restocking fees (if applicable) will be passed on to the client
5. Payment Terms
-
All invoices are to be paid within 12 days from the date of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing
AIRON reserves the right to:
-
Request deposits prior to commencement
-
Request full payment upfront for certain jobs or materials
6. Late Payments
Failure to pay within the agreed 12-day period may result in:
-
Suspension of current or future works
-
Withdrawal of credit terms
-
Recovery action for outstanding debts
-
Additional administrative and recovery costs
7. Title of Goods
All equipment and materials supplied remain the property of AIRON until paid in full.
AIRON reserves the right to recover or remove unpaid equipment where legally permitted.
8. Installation Warranty
AIRON provides a 6-month workmanship warranty covering:

Refrigerant (gas) leaks
-
Water leaks directly related to installation
This warranty:
-
Applies to installation workmanship only
-
Does not cover misuse, lack of maintenance, or external damage
All equipment is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty
9. Maintenance
Ongoing maintenance is the responsibility of the client.
Failure to maintain the system may void workmanship warranty.
10. Exclusions
Unless otherwise stated in writing, quotations exclude:

Electrical supply or upgrades
-
Switchboard modifications
-
Crane or lifting equipment
-
Scaffolding or access equipment
-
Core drilling or structural modifications
-
Patch, paint, or cosmetic repairs
-
Asbestos removal
-
Roof repairs or waterproofing
11. Electrical Disclaimer
AIRON is not responsible for:
-
Existing electrical faults
-
Inadequate power supply
-
Electrical upgrades unless specified
12. Drainage Disclaimer
AIRON is not responsible for drainage issues caused by:
-
Existing plumbing faults
-
Blockages
-
Building design limitations
Where gravity drainage is not achievable, pumps may be required at additional cost.
13. Site Access & Conditions
-
The client must provide safe and reasonable access to all work areas
-
AIRON is not responsible for delays due to restricted access
Additional charges may apply where:
-
Roof space is unsafe or restricted
-
Access equipment is required
-
Unexpected site conditions are encountered
14. Roof Space & Safety
AIRON will not enter roof spaces where:
-
Excessive heat
-
Unsafe structure
-
Vermin, pests, or hazards are present
Additional charges may apply for difficult or restricted roof access.
15. Existing Equipment & Installations
-
AIRON is not responsible for faults in existing systems or previous installations
-
Where existing pipework, wiring, or ductwork is reused, no warranty is provided unless stated
16. Damage by Others
AIRON is not responsible for damage to installed equipment, ductwork, or pipework caused by other trades or third parties after installation.
Repairs required will be chargeable.
17. Delays & Unforeseen Issues
AIRON is not liable for delays caused by:

Weather conditions
-
Supplier delays
-
Site readiness issues
-
Other trades
Additional costs may apply where unforeseen issues arise.
18. Noise & Vibration
All systems are installed to manufacturer specifications.
Some level of operational noise and vibration is normal and does not constitute a fault.
19. Commissioning & Completion
Upon completion:
-
The system will be tested and commissioned
-
The installation will be deemed complete and operational
-
20. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
-
Providing accurate information and plans
-
Ensuring clear access to work areas
-
Securing pets and valuables during works
21. Cancellation Policy
-
Cancellations after acceptance of a quote may incur costs for labour, materials, and restocking fees
-
Deposits are non-refundable once equipment has been ordered
22. New Build Terms
New Build Installations
-
Pricing is based on plans provided at time of quoting
-
Any design or layout changes will be treated as variations
Builder / Client Responsibilities
The builder or client must ensure:
-
Site is ready at agreed installation stage
-
Power is available where required
-
Other trades do not interfere with installed works
Return Visits
Additional charges may apply where AIRON is required to return due to:
-
Site not being ready
-
Delays caused by other trades
-
Incomplete works by others
Finishing Works
AIRON is not responsible for patching, painting, or finishing works unless specified.
23. Liability
AIRON will take all reasonable care during installation.
AIRON is not liable for:
-
Pre-existing damage
-
Hidden structural issues
-
Indirect or consequential losses
-
24. Force Majeure
AIRON is not liable for delays or failure to perform works due to events beyond reasonable control, including:
-
Weather events
-
Supplier shortages
-
Material delays
25. Repairs & Fault Diagnosis
-
AIRON will carry out fault diagnosis and repairs based on the information available at the time of inspection
-
Where faulty components are identified, replacement or repair will be recommended accordingly
-
The client acknowledges that:
-
Air conditioning systems contain multiple components, and failure of one part may indicate or lead to failure of other components
-
Replacing or repairing a faulty part does not guarantee that other faults will not exist or develop
-

AIRON is not responsible for:
-
Additional faults that arise after initial repairs
-
Further component failures not identified during initial diagnosis
-
-
Additional repairs required will be quoted separately
